RANGE RE-DEVELOPMENT

RRGC is undertaking significant upgrades to its ranges ahead of a recertification by the Firearms Safety Authority (Clubs & Ranges) in March 2027. The program involves the removal of trees around three sides of the ranges and earthworks to reshape shooting berms that contain fired shots within the range complex. Some of these berms will be raised to a height of 5m, almost doubling their existing height. In other instances, concrete block walls are being added to the ranges to further enhance safe shooting, as prescribed in the Police Range Manual. 

RANGE ACCESS AND CLOSURES

From 1 October until 30 November 2026, access to the club facilities will be reduced. There will be no access on weekdays while the contractors are working to clear the trees and tidy up the skid site. There will be limited access to the range on weekends, depending on earthworks and the progress of tree removal. The section below on this page (Range Availability) will be updated weekly to advise members when shooting is available on the ranges. Please check this page before coming to the club, as some changes may take place at short notice.

The club calendar will also be updated to reflect the changes to range access; however, you are advised to check this page in all instances.

Range 4 Bookings
