Preliminary membership renewal notice has been sent out - Membership Renewals will begin within the next few days
The aim of this page is to help you with completing the RRGC online registration page. RRGC is a multi-discipline club, and so the membership registration page caters to unlicensed members, licensed members, and B endorsed members. If at any stage you encounter problems with completing the online registration, please call the Club Secretary (Paul G) on 022 53 56 222.
The three most important questions in the registration form are:
Note that any field in the registration form that is denoted with an asterisk '*' indicates that an answer is required.
Let's go through the form, step by step.
The explanation of the form at the top of the page is updated every year and contains important information on how to complete the form. Please read it carefully.
The email you received from the club contains the link to the registration form, and a Sporty CRM Reference Number thats starts with 'SP'. Use the SP Reference Number and your date of birth at the beginning of registration and the form will populate some of the fields for you.
This is where we collect your name, phone number, town and post code. We don't collect full addresses anymore. Most communication is done via email. If you don't have an email address, please let the club secretary know so they can make arrangements for communication by mail. In this situation, you may wish to use "secretary@rrgc.nz" as an email address.
The Gate Access Card number should transfer from your application form or last year's registration form. If it does not, please contact the club secretary. Note that for the Gate Access Card number, we only need the digits as shown on the sample image, such as: 02E0:00006. We do not need to record the 'XSF' text at the beginning of the card. Also note that the '0' is the number zero, and not the letter 'o'. Please ensure that the correct number has been entered for your card.
As mentioned above, and in the registration form introduction, this is an important field. It controls which other sections of the registration form you will have access to.
RRGC provides three disciplines in which a firearms licence is not required: Archery, .22 Silhouette and Air Rifle. However, as a Shooting Range Operator we are required to collect this information for reporting and compliance purposes.
For new members, this field should be pre-populated based on the choices made in the online application form. For current members, you will need to select the correct option this year.
Here are the options:
Pistol shooting members must select one of the B options.
Selecting one of the B options (except Secondary) will provide access to the Pistol NZ Affiliation section. The options you make in that section (see below) will determine what PNZ Affiliation fee you will pay. RRGC collects this fee and passes it onto Pistol NZ on your behalf. This option also allows us to keep a record of your attendance at pistol matches. RRGC will provide the annual report to Pistol NZ and Police of that attendance as part of the B endorsement requirements.
If you have selected B (Secondary), you will also need to select "No Bullshooter" option in the Pistol NZ Affiliation section (see below). RRGC will not include the Pistol NZ affiliation fee in your membership. It is your responsibility to ensure that your home club pays the Pistol NZ affiliation fee and submits match attendance records as appropriate. We recommend that you keep a manual record of match attendance for any match completed at RRGC.
This new status allows us to easily transfer members to other clubs (Endorsed -> Secondary), transfer members into RRGC (Secondary -> Endorsed), determine who is still under probation, and to indicate who is now fully endorsed. It also allows us to easily transfer members from non-pistol sections to a pistol section.
The Membership Type is the second important field on the registration form. It controls the base fee structure that will be used to calculate overall membership fee. The membership categories matche the definitions used by Pistol NZ.
The options here are:
Spouse/Partners and Juniors: The registration form allows you to "Add Another Person". Complete the "Primary Person" as an Intermediate/Full/Senior member, and then add your spouse/partner and any Junior members on the same form. This allows the Sporty CRM to keep the registration records grouped together.
Life Members: Life members should automatically receive their Life Membership discount when completing the form. If you believe you are a Life Member and cannot see the Life Membership discount in the Financial Summary after selecting your Membership Type, please contact the Club Secretary. Also note that the Life Membership discount only covers RRGC Subscription and Facility fees. Any Pistol NZ affiliation fee, COLFO donation or Working Bee donation is not included as part of the Life Membership discount.
As indicated above, RRGC is a Shooting Range Operator and is required to keep a photo ID of all members, shooting or non-shooting. We ask that all unlicensed members upload a form of photo ID. This can be, for example, a Drivers's Licence or 18+ card.
If you do not have a form of photo ID (such may be the case for many Junior members), then this section can be left empty. However, we do ask that you ensure your membership photo is clear and provides a good representation of you.
Most members will need to upload a copy or photo of the front of their firearms licence. A new requirement from Police is that we also record the full legal name as printed on your firearms licence.
Please ensure that you enter the full Firearms Licence Holder Name as printed on the licence. This will be used for reporting purposes to Police.
This section is only available to pistol shooting members who selected one of the B options for Firearms Licence Status. The information provided here determines which Pistol NZ fee structure will be used for your affiliation fee.
Pistol NZ Number
New members, and those under probation, may not yet have a Pistol NZ Number (also knowns as the FM1 number). If you do not know your number, please leave this field blank for now. The Club Secretary will fill it in once we receive confirmation from Pistol NZ.
How Would You Like to Receive the Bullshooter Magazine?
Select the option that best aligns with your Membership Type. However, on occassion there are exceptions so you are required to confirm the choice for the Pistol NZ affiliation.
